FLAVOUR policy evaluation
FLAVOUR is an EU-funded project that seeks to develop socio-economic business models that improve how we use surplus food while employing vulnerable workers.
Title: Policy researcher
Timeline: September 2021-ongoing
Role: On behalf of partner organization Feedback Global, I led development of an actionable and evidence-led policy framework to support FLAVOUR’s goals of supporting the circular food economy and creating inclusive jobs for people far from the labour market. I reviewed and analyzed data produced by partners on the FLAVOUR project, facilitated focus groups and interviews to gather additional data from policy experts, and put together two policy briefs on the subject: one targeted at policy makers in the EU, France, and Belgium, and one for governments in the UK.
What I'm most proud of: Bringing an intersectional lens to all policy recommendations to show how gender equity, diversity, and inclusion are deeply connected to both the issue of food waste and good jobs.
